A beautifully crafted three case Inro in rich Urushi black Lacquer estimated to be from the late Edo to late Meiji era (1850 to 1890s). This Inro is Intricately hand decorated in fine detail on both sides with thick and rich Maki-e Gold lacquer and deep red Peony Flowers highlighted in Gold.

Included with this Inro is a rare and finely hand worked bronze metal Ojime featuring Buddhist symbols and a hand carved and lacquered Netsuke of a Japanese Deity. The silk cord appears to be original. The Inro is in very good condition for its age with minor enamel loss on two petals on the larger peony. The Ojime is in excellent condition. The Netsuke shows moderate wear but is in good condition for an item of this age which has had daily use and handling (please see the accompanying photographs which form an important part of the description)

The Inro ships with the signed Kiri Wood box shown.
