A very finely worked Antique Gold Inro featuring a Rosewood Dragon Netsuke and Bone Ojime. The four part Inro from Japan’s Meii era (1868 – 1912) has been intricately detailed with antique takamaki-e raised gold lacquer outside and inside. Hand carved from Cherry Wood and intricately detailed with a Pavillion on both sides of the body. The signed Rosewood Netsuke has been finely detailed and is missing one of its Black Coral eyes. Also featuring a high quality bone Ojime with engraved symbols.
Intricately rendered with meticulous attention to detail a sense of timelessness and in excellent condition preserving the vibrancy of the gold lacquer. This Antique Gold Inro And Dragon Netsuke ships in a kiri wood box.
Approximate dimensions of the Inro are 8.5 cm length and 5.5 cm wide with a depth of 2 cm.
