Beautifully hand crafted and lacquered four case Inro with a matching Netsuke by the Kajikawa Family. Featuring gold Urushi lacquer surrounds with carthouches on both sides. Highly detailed chrysanthemums in gold Urushi lacquer are overlaid with gold Urushi lacquer Juji symbolising longevity and good fortune. The matching netsuke also features gold Urushi lacquer and chrysanthemums and the Ojime appears to be carved Amber. Hand carved from Cherry Wood the inside cases are finished with layers of takamaki-e raised gold lacquer.
The Inro is signed and bears the Kajikawa family seal. The boxwood container features the words Juji character Chrysanthemum Inro made by Kajikawa.
