Meiji era (1868 – 1912) bud vase in bronze and mixed metals. Inlaid with Gold and Silver and Copper motifs depicting a long tailed Onagadori Cockrell on a flowering Plum Tree. Ships with custom made wooden stand.
The body of the vase is patinated to represent a wood finish and the artist signature is incised on the back.

The Onagadori are native to Japan and are on the endangered list. Today there are only 250 birds in Japan all of them with breeders.
Approximate dimensions of vase 10.5 cm height and 12 cm height on stand.
