From our antique collection we are pleased to offer this bronze Japanese kettle from the late 1890s Meiji era 1868 – 1912).  Hand beaten in bronze and mixed metals by a skilled artisan the (tetsubin) kettle is in very good condition for an antique of its age.  The hinged lid on the spout of the kettle is intact and in good working condition.  The hinged handles are also in good working condition.  A very striking work of art for any collection or for that special Sencha Tea Ceremony experience.

The approximate dimensions of the kettle are 444 grams weight. The total height with handles is 23 cm total height and the body height is 15.5 cm.  The total width is 21 cm and the diameter is 16 cm.
