Vintage Japanese Koma Design Lacquer Tea Caddy

Vintage Japanese lacquered natural wood tea caddy Natsumi. Natsume is a tea container for usucha (thin tea) and also for matcha powdered green tea.  Beautifully hand crafted from natural wood and coated with high quality Japanese Urushi lacquer.  It has a ‘koma’ spinning top design which is the traditional design from the island of Shikoku and multicoloured Lacquer inlaid bamboo strips and black lacquer inside.

Dimensions approximate 8 cm diameter and 5.5 cm height and weight 50 grams.
