A striking early Showa era (1926 – 1989) Bronze Dragon koro by Tsunetaro Futakami. Featuring intricately detailed dragons around the body and on the finial of the lid and legs. Complete with signed Kiri wood box and certificate detailing the artist and his reputation. A very solid and substantial koro in very good condition.
The approximate dimensions of the koro are 19 cm height including lid and 14 cm Diameter including dragons. The approximate weight of the koro is 1.76 kilos.

Prototype Born August 19, 1894 in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture As one of the skill holders in the traditional craft town of Kou, he loves copperware and is fascinated by its casting surface. You can keep going. In May 1975, when Motonari Futakami turned 80 years old, this exhibition was held in order to exhibit many excellent works, which are the crystallization of casting technology, in one place and to be widely reviewed. As a representative of various fields, including the prefectural governor, his works are filled with the authenticity of his snow-forged techniques, and the elegance and dignity that accompany them.
In addition, his elegant style has been highly evaluated in the industry as a living national treasure level technique, and continues to this day.
