A rare Celadon Incense Burner depicting a Shi Shi Lion also known as a Fu Lion or Foo Lion. In Japan, Shí Shī are also called Koma-inu (こま犬). They are depicted as playful and fierce guardians of children and are often placed as guardians outside Shinto shrines.  A very rare find.

In Excellent condition with minor signs of age and use (please see images).

Approximate dimensions are 14.5 cm height, 16.5 cm long and 8 cm deep and weight is 700 grams.
