An original 1989 woodblock print by Ido Masao titled Aizu Mitsuya depicting the famous pottery kiln. A fruiting persimmon tree bearing colourful fruit frames the courtyard. In excellent condition with vibrant colours with age spots on the margin (please see images). Pencil signed by Masao in the lower margin and his red stamp on the lower right of the print. This print is #31 of a limited edition of 150 woodblock prints.

Kitakata’s Mitsuya District. Kitakata is famous as being a town of charming red brick kura (Japanese warehouses). The rich texture and distinctive color of the warehouse bricks are an integral part of Kitakata’s townscape.
