Rarely seen Taisho era lithographic print from a magazine or book series.
Rarely seen Taisho era lithographic print from a magazine or book series. Beautifully detailed early 1900s lithograph attributed to Shinsui ITO of a Bijin or Beautiful woman. In the background are Japanese men in traditional costume participating in the tea ceremony that the woman is preparing.
Believed to be a kuchi-e print which are very hard to find. Publisher unknown.
In good overall condition with folds which indicate that it is a kuchi-e print from a book similar to “Dangerous Beauties and Dutiful Wives”
Dimensions of Lithograph: 21 cm Wide x 28 cm Height.
