A very rare pre WWII Scroll by Kima depicting a Tiger, the Rising Sun and a Good Fortune message. Hand painted on washi the scroll features a Hinomaru (rising Sun) a Tiger and Buun Cyoukyuu (a Good Fortune message).
The scroll is fragile from use and the jiku or top crosspiece is missing. The washi surrounding the artwork is fragile and torn in some places (please see images). It can either be restored or framed as a striking work of art.
Approximate dimensions: are 128 cm in length 48 cm width.
This item will be carefully rolled and packed for shipping in a tube. Shipping is via Australia Post and includes tracking and signature on delivery.
