An original Toyohara Kunichika Oban size woodblock print from the 1880s of actors in a Kabuki Play.   A single woodblock from a tryptych depicting a Kabuki Play “Nakano Machi Sayaate Noba”.  The actor featured is Ichikawa Danjuro as Fuaa Banzaemon.  A dramatic and evocative print in excellent condition with vibrant colours.

Skilfully mounted to museum conservation standard with a silk border and ready for framing.  Approximate dimensions are – Sheet size: 36 cm height and 24 cm width. Mounted artwork size –  52 cm height and 36 cm width.
