An original Meiji era kuchi e woodblock print 20 from a pre World War II Japanese Adventure Book. Printed print on washi between the late 1800s and early 1900s. Specially created as woodblock print covers for romance and adventure novels and books. The kuchi e has two prints which have been joined with a washi backing (please see images).
The print is in good condition overall with minor signs of age from storage.
Approximate dimensions of the sheet are 37 cm wide and 24.5 cm high
