A striking Meiji era 1890s to 1900s fully articulated Bronze Jizai Okimono of a Lobster signed by notable metal craftsman and artisan Hiromi Fujiwara. The Lobster is fully articulated and in excellent condition. All body segments including legs, tail, tail fins and antenna have hinged joints and are fully articulated to move as in real life.
Articulated Okinomo like this lobster were crafted and used as examples by highly skilled metal artisans to demonstrate their arms and armour making capabilities to prospective Daimyo and Samurai clients.
The length of the Lobster from tail to the tip of longest antenna is approximately 21.5 cm. The Lobster ships in its wooden Paulownia box.
