A handpainted and Signed Calligraphy Scroll from the early 1900s with the original Signed Box. A deer symbol is also handpainted at the bottom of the artwork. The upper crosspiece known as hyoumoku is karaki wood. The lower crosspiece also known as jiku is a also wood. The honshi or artwork is also in good condition.
Silk brocade strips also frame the artwork at the top and bottom. Hand made washi is also used for the scroll backing and is traditionally used in all antique scrolls.
Approximate dimensions are 185 cm and 39.5 cm width and the length of roller is 50 cm.
This item will be carefully rolled and packed for shipping in a tube. Shipping is via Australia Post and includes tracking and signature on delivery.
