Which Incense Should I Use
We burn incense on a daily basis. Candles are great if you want to create an effect and have a beautiful fragrance dedicated to a particular spot. Incense offers more flexibility with a smaller and more environmentally friendly product.
We looked into many incense brands before we decided that Shoyeido was the brand for us. Xiang-do incenses are a great choice for creating beautiful aromas in a contained space such as a bedroom, lounge, office or hotel room. They are also great for travel as the low smoke level doesn’t set off smoke alarms and it helps clear the energy and space from previous tenants.
I use seasonal choices such as Sandalwood and Lavender when I have a busy day ahead to help me relax. Forest does transport me to a forest with its aromas. Palo Santo gives me a buzz with its heady woody South American aroma. My mum loves the fragrance of their Green Tea incense. Contrary to its name it doesnt have that common matcha aroma from green tea. Instead it has a somewhat mysterious and woody aroma. She also loves the clean crisp aroma of the Xiang-do Agarwood incense.
I am also loving the sweetness of Nijo from the Horin range and have been burning Nijo coils which last for ages. Obviously this is my personal experience and fragrance is such a personal thing which affects everyone in a different way.
