Vale Fu Takenaka 1945 – 22 March 2020
Fu Takenaka passed away in on 22 March 2020. From the first time we saw her quirky owls we were fans. Her creative depiction of the cats inhabiting the grounds of the Fushimi Inari Shrine are unique. We will hold our private collection of Fu’s Owls and other creative works of art and keep her creative spirit alive.
Unfortunately we did not get to meet the amazing lady as the extended lockdown and limitation of visitors to Japan did not allow us an opportunity to meet her. Fu will live on through her art and capture the hearts and minds of many others in years to come.
