RATING
A very rare, beautifully embossed and finely detailed late Edo Era Woodblock Print attributed to Araki Kanpo (1831 – 1915). An intricately balanced composition of delicate detail and rich but understated colour. A Plum Warbler is depicted on a snow laden rock on a river. A branch overhead heavily laden with snow dramatically contrasts with the delicate fresh flowering cherry blossoms. A wonderful example of Mokuhanga (木版画) technique.
This woodblock print is in very good to excellent condition.
Approximate Dimensions of the sheet are 28 cm Height and 26 cm Width
