A beautifully detailed woodblock print Triptych of a Boating Party under Azuma Bridge by Torii Kiyonaga. Titled Boating Party Under Azuma Bridge in Tokyo. Originally published early Meiji era (1868 – 1912), this edition is faithfully re-created from recarved blocks published mid 20th century. Beautiful women were one of one of Kiyonaga’s favourite subjects. Kiyonaga saw in these girls his image of an ideal woman, who was as healthy and beautiful as the females in Greek sculpture. The prints are in excellent condition.
