Our Black Lacquer Premium Deerskin Handbag is a deluxe quality, hand made product. Featuring an adjustable over the shoulder strap and a generous zippered pocket on the outside.  A small zippered pocket and two pouch areas inside makes this a very functional as well as stylish handbag.

Beautifully styled with an embossed Hydrangea pattern applied using many layers of Urushi lacquer over several weeks decorate the handbag.

Soft Deerskin leather and very durable Japanese Urushi lacquer combine to create a premium product which is very flexible and strong.  Intricate lacquer patterns are carefully applied and the finished product is beautiful as well as durable and will last for many years to come.

Approximate Dimensions of the handbag are 24 cm width and 24 cm height and a depth of 6.5 cm.  The handbag also ships in a cloth bag inside a custom made box.

Inden is the art of creating beautiful as well as long lasting lacquer designs on deerskin.  The craft of Inden started in 1582 during the Sengoku period for the production of some of the garments used for Samurai armours.

Today Inden-Ya deerskin products are still handmade using the same techniques from 1582.
