A very unique set of tea 5 ceremony ceramic plates from the 1880s (mid to late Meiji period). Triangular in shape and embossed in white hexagons with 2 cranes in dark green glaze on each plate.
Seal and Sign of the potter “Banko” is on the base. A rustic and unique design featuring crane “Tsuru” motifs.
Ships with original wooden box.
The plates are in good condition with minor marks and signs of use in keeping with their age. The Seal and Sign of the potter “Banko” is on the base.
