RATING
An antique Rinpa School silk scroll painting with red and white peonies. Originally part of a Japanese kakejiku (hanging scroll) the colours are still bright and vibrant and show no signs of fading. Painted between 1850 -1899 with the signature and seal of the artist on the lower left. In good condition overall with some creases some of which show fine tears (see images). This makuri would look wonderful mounted and framed as a work of art.
Approximate dimensions are 110 cm length and 42 cm width.
