An extremely rare and beautifully detailed Antique pair of Kanzashi hair ornaments featuring Cranes on Pine Branches and Coral. They are estimated to have been hand crafted during Japan’s early Meiji Era 1890s using silver and gilt . The gilted pins of the Kanzashi are delicately engraved with motifs of bamboo, cherry and plum blossoms. The intricately detailed Cranes also appear to be hand crafted in silver and gilt and feature a black enamelled tail. Pine tree foilage also appears to be hand crafted in silver and gilt and the Cranes are hovering over a brand of natural coral.
The artistry and detailed workmanship creates a complex three dimensional Botanic Landscape. A truly stunning display intended to embellish and compliment the beauty of the wearer.
