Antique Bronze Travelers Dragon Koro

Small Antique Bronze Traveler’s Dragon Koro from Japan’s Edo era circa 1760s to 1800s.

Featuring a finial of a small dragon curled up on the petals of a Chrysanthemum flower on the lid of the koro. The body of the koro features winged dragon in flight with its tail spread wide.  The opposite side of the body feature a Butterfly about to alight on a Chrysanthemum.   Ships with a Pawlonia wooden box.

An early and rare piece with beautiful patina and expressive naive details.

Approximate Dimensions are 9.5 cm Height and 5.0 cm Width and Depth.  Weight of the koro is 170 grams and the total weight with the Pawlonia wood box is 210 grams..
