RATING

An Otsu-e painting estimated to be from the 1950s of Monkey Bell And Lantern.

In good overall condition with some marks to the bottom left and a mark towards the top of the print.  There are some glue marks towards the top on the rear of the print.

Traditional folk Ōtsu-e paintings originated in the mid 17th century. The production process used one or more sheets of handmade paper (called  makotorinoko or maniaigami).   On occasion the images were partially woodblock printed and finished with brush and ink to emphasize shape and outline.

Dimensions of sheet are approximately 29 cm Height and 20.5 cm width.
