Wajima Lacquer Jubako Gold Pine Trees
An amazing and strikingly impressive three tiered Jubako from the Wajima region Japan in excellent condition for its age. Thick Urushi lacquer is masterfully applied, red inside and black on the outside. Three dimensional Gold lacquer pine trees in intricate raised relief detail the lid and front body of the Jubako. Two small Mother of Pearl highlights add colour to the lid and upper body in typical Japanese restraint.
