A 1960s Koban size reprint of the original woodblock print by Toyokuni III also known as Toyokuni Ga. A kabuki actor believed to be Ichikawa Kodanji as Tennichibō clutches a rock in a turbulent sea. A cartouche above him depicts his thoughts of his loved one. A beautifully detailed print and in excellent condition. The print shows faint fold lines from a previous storage (see images).
Signed with the oval seal of Toyokuni Ga on the lower left of the woodblock print. Approximate sheet size is 23 cm Height and 16 cm Width. Approximate print size is 21 cm Height and 14 cm Width
