Satsuma Koro With Open Work Lid

A delightful delicate and very rare three legged Satsuma porcelain Koro from Japan. Signed and stamped Satsuma underneath.  Used for tea ceremonies with an intricately hand worked open work lid.  Cherry Blossoms hand painted on the body.

Rare to find a koro with such fine and detailed open work lid intact and in such good condition. Great for use with coils, cones and short stick incense.

The approximate dimensions of the koro are height 9.3 cm and diameter 8.5 cm.  Weight 159 grams.
