A beautiful Porcelain Satsuma Kogo (Incense Container or Holder) decorated in the acclaimed One Thousand Flowers design with intricately detailed floral motifs hand painted over glaze with real Gold Pigment detailing. This Kogo is from the Taisho period or slightly later (1912-1930s) indicated by the Bizan mark under the Shimazu family crest on the base, (Image five and six). This Kogo is in excellent condition.
Approximate dimensions – 8 cm diameter and 4.5 cm height
