A Rare Original, Framed Hideyo Matsuno Oban size woodblock print titled Hagoromo.  From the series titled Juni-ka-getsu Noh ga Suri  (Twelve Months of Noh Pictures).  The series of 12 woodblock prints was a collaboration between Hideyo Matsuno (1936 – 2002) and his father the renowned painter Sofu Matsuno (1899 – 1963). This print is titled March which symbolises the Dance of Harmony from “Hagoromo”.  Hideyo Matsuno created 6 of the designs including Hagoromo and the other 6 designs are by his father Sofu Matsuno. The Carver was Nagashima and the Printer was Shinmi.  Originally published mid 20th Century by Unsodo.  Oban tate-e Characters inscribed in the seal means  “The Sleeve of White Cloud”.

Beautifully framed with American moulding and mounted to Museum Conservation Standard. Print tipped to acid free foam core backing and mat by rice paper hinges upper corners and wheat flour starch adhesive.  True Vue 99% Anti UV Glass.
