Old Handcarved Large Urushi Lacquer Bowl
A mid 20th Century solid handcarved Urushi lacquer bowl and approximately 48 cm in diameter. Carved from a single piece of wood probably Cypress and beautifully decorated with gold flowers on black Urushi lacquer.
In good condition with some chips to the lacquer on the rim of the bowl (see images). A solid and very substantial bowl made by a skilled Japanese artisan.
