Nisaburo ITO Woodblock Peony Pink
A beautifully detailed and perfectly proportioned original woodblock print titled “Peony Pink”. Masterfully hand carved and printed by Uchida on washi in the traditional woodblock print process.
This edition published in mid 20th Century. Publishers (Uchida) and censors seals along with Artist seal and signature are on the print. Kento cut on bottom right margin is further authenticity of a genuine woodblock print.
The woodblock print is in very good condition condition and has never been hung, framed or used.
The approximate dimensions of sheet are height 45.5 cm and width 29 cm.

Nisaburo ITO (1910 – 1988)
Nisaburo Ito studied painting at Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting (now the Kyoto University of the Arts). He became famous for his depictions of landscapes as well as birds and flowers.
