A substantial, hand crafted and detailed mid 20th century Imari Incense Burner from Japan. Also referred to as a Koro it is hand painted under glaze with blue, red and white motifs and cartouches of flowering camellias on the body and lid. The koro has tripod legs and also features a miniature shi shi lion on the finial of the articulated lid. Signed on the base and in as new excellent condition.
The approximate dimensions of the koro are height 12 cm and diameter of 13 cm and 520 grams weight.
