Large Signed Ido Masao Woodblock Nigetsudo

A large panoramic signed woodblock print by Ido Masao titled “Nigetsudo” depicting the approach to the Hall of the Second Month at Todaiji Temple. The stone steps flanked by stone walls and lush verdant greenery lead to the rear of the Great Buddha Hall and the Shosoin Treasury.  Hand signed by Ido Masao 1945 – 2016 and numbered 454 of a limited edition of 850 woodblock prints.  In excellent and as new condition.

Masao’s very individual form of expression made him one of the most highly respected Woodblock Print Artists of the contemporary era with works in many highly renowned museums around the world.
