A large Arita Porcelain Koro from the early Showa period Japan (1926 to 1989). Estimated to be from the 1920s and featuring tripod legs with matching handles.  The signature of the Arita ware artist  Fujifune appears on the base. Skillfully hand crafted and hand painted under glaze in gold, plum, green and blue with sakura blossoms and foliage on the body and lid.  The finial of the articulated lid is also decorated with a flowering lotus bud and the inside and lid are also glazed.  The koro is new and unused and in excellent condition.

The approximate dimensions of the koro are 539 grams weight and 13.5 cm height and 13 cm diameter.
