We are very pleased to offer this large Meiji era (1868 – 1912) Japanese Bronze Vase from the Tokyo School signed Toto Hidemitsu. Expertly crafted in bronze and mixed metals a kingfisher is depicted perched on the end of a fruiting grapevine.  This charming vase has been skilfully embossed in silver, gold, copper and black enamel.

The signature is on the body of the vase (see images).  There is a light dent to the upper back of the vase (please see photo 6).
