Hasui Woodblock Print Lake Chuzenji
One of Hasui’s hallmark Autumn scenes. Lake Chuzenji in Nikko in Autumn and trees resplendent with Autumn foilage in the foreground as the Sacred Mountain Mount Fuji sits mysteriously in the backgroud surrounded by blue skies and sea.
Originally created in 1930 this woodblock print is a later production from the original woodblocks by printer Kawaguchi. Signed Hasui with red artist’s seal “Kawase”. This is a later edition published by Nakajima Shobisya from the original woodblocks.
The print is also in new and unused condition.
Approximate dimensions of the print are 41.5 cm height and 28.5 cm width.
Approximate dimensions of image are 36.5 cm height and 23.5 cm width.

Hasui (1883 – 1957)
Hasui was also declared a National Living Treasure in 1956 in recognition of his contribution and skills.
