FU TAKENAKA WOODBLOCK YASAKA PAGODA FROM BUNNOSUKE

A Limited Edition Woodblock Print by Fu Takenaka.   Number 8 of  200 Woodblock Prints of  Takenaka’s depiction of the view of Yasaka Pagoda from a teahouse in Kyoto.

The Japanese title “Bunnosuke Chaya kara” depicts the view of Yasaka Pagoda from the entrance of the aincient and famous tea house “Bunnosuke”.  Yasaka Pagoda is the last remnants of Hokanji Temple in Kyoto and is a landmark in the Higashiyama District in Kyoto.

This print is 8 of 200.  The artists pencil signature and seal are on the print.  The print is in as new condition and has never been hung or framed.

TAKENAKA, FU was born in 1945. She worked for a design company and received second prize in the Fibre Design Council in 1964. In 2003 she began Creating Woodblock Prints and Received an Award in 2008 in the Ban-in Exhibition.
