FU TAKENAKA WOODBLOCK PRINT FUSHIMI INARI TAISHO
A Limited Edition Woodblock Print by Fu Takenaka. A Limited Edition of only 200 Woodblock Prints of Senbon Torii at Fushimi Inari Taisha Kyoto Japan were created by the artist.
Takenaka’s whimsical depiction of the cats that frequent the grounds of the legendary Shrine. Many of the cats belong to the teahouses in the grounds of the shrine. They roam freely during the day basking in the sun and getting pats and treats from visitors.
This print is 102 of 200. The artists pencil signature and seal are on the print.

TAKENAKA, FU was born in 1945. She worked for a design company and received second prize in the Fibre Design Council in 1964. In 2003 she began Creating Woodblock Prints and Received an Award in 2008 in the Ban-in Exhibition.
