Original woodblock print by Eiichi Kotozuka titled Sarusawa Pond In Summer. Engraved and printed by Uchida Woodblock Printing Company in the 1950s with the Uchida seal and the seal of Kotozuka in excellent condition. Sarusawa is a tranquil lake in the centre of Nara with views of the five storey pagoda of Kofukuji Temple. The print has the signature and seal of the Kotozuka as well as the seal of Uchida. It is in excellent condition apart from some minor toning which can be seen in the images.
Approximate Sheet dimensions are 39 cm width and 35 cm height. Approximate Print Dimensions are 26.5 cm width and 23.5 cm height.

Kotozuka studied at the Kyoto Specialist School of Painting. He was one of four artists who co-founded a co-op publishing house called Koryokusha in the 1940s. The other three artists were Tokuriki, Tobei and Tosobura.
