A genuine and original woodblock print by Eiichi Kotozuka depicting the Imperial Palace in winter. Kotozuka has captured the contrast of the snow covered grounds and a clear blue sky against the red lacquer of the Imperial Palace buildings. Engraved and printed by Uchida Woodblock Printing Company in the 1950s with the Uchida seal and the seal of Kotozuka.
The print has the signature and seal of the Kotozuka as well as the seal of Uchida. The print is in excellent condition apart from some toning which can be seen in the images.
Approximate Sheet dimensions are 39 cm width and 35 cm height. Approximate Print Dimensions are 26 cm width and 23 cm height.

Kotozuka studied at the Kyoto Specialist School of Painting. He was one of four artists who co-founded a co-op publishing house called Koryokusha in the 1940s. The other three artists were Tokuriki, Tobei and Tosobura.
