RATING

A rare find of an Edo Era Menuki hand made into a Pendant in Melbourne, Australia.  Gourds represent happiness and success in Japanese culture.  The Edo Era Menuki Pendant has three gourds which symbolise good luck to the owner.  This little menuki would have seen many adventures on the handle of a sword owned by a Samurai warrior. The menuki has been professionally crafted it into a striking one of a kind pendant with a substantial sterling silver backing.  A leather chain with sterling silver fittings is included in the sale.  A rare wearable work of art with a significant and  wonderful history.
