Early 1900s Japanese Patriotic Womens Association Medal

A Japanese Patriotic Womens Association Medal awarded as an exceptional Merit Badge 2nd and 3rd Class.

The red enamel Army star superimposed on an anchor above a wreath of cherry blossoms and shape also identify with the association.  The medal has a proud association with Japan’s oldest womens association founded on 2 March 1901 by Aokumura Loko.
