A signed Showa Era (1926 to 1989) Celadon Incense Burner from 1940s Japan.  Hand painted under Celadon glaze with cranes and signed on the base.  The articulated lid and inside are also finished with Celadon glaze. A Celadon glazed shi shi lion sits on the finial of the lid and the tripod legs feature elephant heads.  The Incense Burner in new and unused condition.

The approximate dimensions of the koro are height 14 cm and diameter 11.5 cm and weight 390 grams.
