Bronze Gold And Silver Blossoms Vase Signed Shugetsu

A striking Bronze Vase from the Showa era (1926 – 1989). Signed Shugetsu on the body and beautifully embossed with 24 carat gold and silver blossoms cherry blossoms and chrysanthemums. The vase is in very good condition for its age.

Also engraved on the base are the names Honmaru Tokusen along with Kekkon Kine, Hitomi and Hajime.  Honmaru refers to the living quarters of the ruler of a castle.  Tokusen is a manufacturer of high quality wire which were used in the inlays in this vase.  Kekkon refers to a marriage and Kine also refers to a tree or plants which adorn the vase.
This beautiful vase appears to have been a present perhaps for a marriage in a high ranking family in Japan.

The approximate dimensions of vase are 610 grams weight and 23.5 centimetres in height.
