An authentic and original woodblock print The Pagoda of Ninnaji Temple Winter. Signed by the famous artist Benji Asada.   Ninnaji Temple is in use by the Shingon Sect.  The five story Pagoda on the grounds has been declared a national treasure and a planting of one hundred cherry trees make it a site of historical significance and natural beauty.

Published around the 1930s by Uchida with their seal on the print along with the seal of Asada and title of the print.  The print is in excellent condition overall with margins intact except for one small tear and very mild toning mainly on the margins

Approximate dimensions of Sheet are  39 cm height and 26 width. Approximate dimensions of Print are 37 cm height and 24 cm width.

Shipping is via Australia Post and includes tracking and signature on delivery.

Benji Asada (1899-1984)

Benji Asada along with Hasui and Yoshida formed the core of the Shin-Hanga movement.  His work is rare and highly sought after worldwide.
