An antique Satsuma Pendant featuring Mount Fuji converted from a belt buckle. Encased in a silver backing, the front features the distinctive glaze and fine crackles associated with Satsuma porcelain. The detailed enamel work showcases a snow capped Mount Fuji in the background with Chrysanthemums in the foreground. Real gold has been used to embellish the artwork on the panel. The original backing is still intact. Preserving the original art and craftsmanship a sterling silver fitting has been added to create a unique and wearable work of art.
Using antique and vintage objects sourced from Japan we transform them into wearable works of art in our Melbourne workshop.
