Antique Kutani Signed Porcelain Incense Burner 1

A very striking Kutani koro from the 1890s to 1910s.  Hand painted under glaze using traditional Kutani methods and featuring a shi shi lion finial on the lid.  Alternate panels depict a pine tree and peacock and a river scene with a house and boat and a range of mountains in the background.  The sides feature detailed hand painted geomatric patterns.

Signed on the base and with a signed kiri wood box it is in very good condition.

Signed on the base and with a signed kiri wood box it is in very good condition.

 Approximate dimensions of Koro  are height 12 cm, diameter 10 cm and Weight 363 grams.  Total weight with box is 640 grams.
