Antique Handcarved Urushi Lacquer Plate

Antique Urushi lacquer hand carved plate from Japan and complete with original signed box.

Beautifully hand carved and lacquered using Urushi technique with the artist seal on the base of the plate as well as the box.  Estimated age between 1870s and 1890s it is also in excellent condition.

The approximate dimensions of the plate are 24.3 cm diameter and the boxed weight is approximately 593 grams.
