Antique Bronze Koro With Openwork Reticulated Lid

A very early and beautiful antique bronze Koro Incense Burner of substantial and solid proportions. It is eloquent in its simplicity and is estimated to be from the 1790s to 1860s mid to late Edo period or very early Meiji period. At just over half a Kilo it is very heavy and solid for its size.

Intricately hand carved lid in reticulated openwork pattern.  A rare find.

In good overall condition with signs of age and use (please see images).

Dimensions are 11.5 cm diameter and 6.5 cm height

Weight – 502 grams
